Natalia and Scott are in Argentina now celebrating their marriage with a 2nd ceremony! Natalia's family lives there and the 2nd ceremony will take place on her father's property.

Tiffany and Desmond were married at the Immaculata on the USD campus. The church is stunning and always photographs so well. Tiffany and Desmond both had such loving families. Everyone had a blast at the reception.

Kim & Oren

Kim and Oren were married at the Hyatt in downtown San Diego. They had a traditional Jewish ceremony (which I love!) including the ketubah, tish & bedeken, chupah, and yichud. We took photos all around the Hyatt property as well Seaport Village.

The kosher reception followed in the Hyatt ballroom. The band rocked and the hora went on for a really long time. Fun was had by all. :)

Nina & Manny

Nina and Manny aren't getting married until next February but we got an early start on their engagement session since they want to use the photos for their save-the-date card. It was sort of a half engagement, half family session since Manny brought his adorable kids along to share in the photo fun. I don't do a ton of family photo shoots. I stick mostly to weddings, but a family this affectionate made my job very easy.

Mick and Julie came up with a brilliant idea last year, to give back to an active military couple who could not, due to many circumstances, have a wedding of their dreams. They hosted a contest to find the perfect couple and Melissa and Alan won! Mick and Julie asked me to volunteer my photography for the wedding and reception and of course I agreed. It was an amazing day and Melissa and Alan were all smiles.

The wedding took place at St. Francis Chapel in Balboa Park. We walked all over the park to take pictures. Melissa and Alan were up for anything and we had a lot of fun! The reception was at The San Diego Art Institute.

RaNae and Evan had a fun and intimate wedding at La Jolla Women's club. Before the wedding RaNae and Evan had a first sighting at The Grand Colonial where RaNae got ready for the day. After they saw each other for the first time and spent a quiet moment alone, then they hopped into their 1956 Bentley and we drove around La Jolla for some photos.

Kelly and Brent were married in Old Town at one of my favorite churches in San Diego, The Immaculate Conception. Following the ceremony the newlyweds took a limo to their reception at the Coronado Golf Club. Kelly and Brent were one of my favorite couples of the year. I had a blast shooting their wedding along side Heather Elise, of Heather Elise Photography.

The wedding was coordinated by Sarah Noland of Smack Designs and all the linens were specifically designed for Kelly by Irene Gonzales from A Perfect Table.

Dawn & Don at Temecula Creek Inn

Dawn and Don celebrated their wedding day amoungst their closest of friends at Temecula Creek Inn. They had their ceremony just outside the 150 year old stone house followed by a sit down dinner indoors.

Andrew and Rachel were married on the beach, the "strand" to be exact, in Coronado. Andrew and Rachel are Jewish and incorporated many Jewish wedding traditions into their outdoor, beachy wedding. They were married under a Chuppah, Andrew broke the glass at the end of the ceremony, and at the reception they danced the Hora with all their guests.

The wedding reception was held at Lowe's Coronado and was coordinated by Lynn from Pure Planning. DJ Tim Altbaum kept the dance floor packed all night before Andrew and Rachel left the reception in their gondola!

Teri and Ted were married twice! Their first ceremony was a Buddist ceremony at a temple in San Diego and the second ceremony was a traditional American ceremony outdoors at the Prado in Balboa Park.

They had their reception in the ballroom there in the Prado. Mick from Elite British DJ did a fabulous job keeping the dancefloor full and his wife Julie, from the Best Wedding for You, kept the day running smoothly and stress free.

Nick and Jayme-Lee were married last July at Tom Ham's in Harbor Island across from the San Diego Skyline. Both are known for being very athletic. Nick plays for the San Diego Chargers and Jayme was a champion soccer player at Perdue. Both were very excited for the day and they had a fantastic time at the reception. Jayme even entertained her friends with a whole routine for the song Step in the name of Love.

Ponte Winery is a great place to have a wedding in the Temecula Wine Country. They have good food, a great staff and wine room or a tent for the reception.

Becky and Greg were married at Becky's parent's home in Ramona. It was typical March day. Cool and green, with threatening clouds floating by. Luckily we didn't feel any raindrops and Greg and Becky were able to enjoy the beautiful, outdoor day with their friends and family. After the wedding they were off to Thailand for their Honeymoon!

For every wedding I photograph, I always make sure to get a shot of the bride's shoes. They are usually a gorgeous pair of heels that look amazing on her and also a pair that I wish I could wear. I hardly ever wear heels and it isn't because I am tall or because I am a mom, it is because they kill my feet! Recently though I have noticed a lot of my savvy brides sneaking these little miracles into their heels before they walk down the aisle.

They are those Dr. Scholl inserts that used to only be for men but now they have them for us girls and our heels! Have they have these around for awhile now? Maybe I am the last to know. Either way I am going to try them out next week! I'll let you all know how they go after a girls night out that requires the perfect, painful pair of heels.

I have know Patrick for a few years now. I met him when he was a chunky, little one year old that loved pureed pears, getting tickles, and his Mommy. Now he has just turned 4 and is growing into a quite a big boy. He called me "Honey" at the photo shoot. "Now Honey, let's go over here so you can take my picture by the car." He is just the cutest thing and so funny! His choice of nicknames made for lots of laughs at the photo shoot.

Although he can be serious kid at times too.

I really enjoy engagement sessions.
They really give me the chance to get to know the bride and groom before the wedding day. I think the sessions also give couples the chance to get their nervousness out before their wedding and allow for a more relaxed portrait session on the big day.

Natalie Parkington was married to her sweetie Aaron, in October 2006, at the gorgeous Rosecroft mansion in Pt. Loma. She had an amazing wedding. You can see it all here. Karen and David were married on a gorgeous day in January at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Point Loma. They had a beautiful ceremony and Karen's sister even got to sing for them. I think they really enjoyed the ceremony because they were smiling throughout the whole thing!

After the ceremony we headed up to the Pt. Loma Lighthouse, then it was off to the reception at the Oceanview Club.

Karen looked stunning when I arrived at The Dana Hotel for her getting ready photos. Shortly after the getting ready phots Karen saw DJ for the first time on their wedding day! We took all their bride and groom pictures at The Dana then headed over to Ventura Cove for the wedding ceremony.

The ceremony location is gorgeous. It is right on Mission Bay with views to Paradise Point.

There is also a volleyball court near by and unfortuatly for the players playing that day, I ran over and popped their ball as I was driving by into the parking lot. OPPS! Sorry guys! Luckily they had another ball.

The reception was at The Abbey downtown, which is always so dark and dramatic. Perfect place for a party! I love photographing at the Abbey!

I met Elyce at La Valencia Hotel for her getting ready photos and photos with her bridesmaids.

The view from the top of the La Jolla Financial Building is amazing. It really is an ideal location for a wedding ceremony and reception.

We made it down to La Jolla Cove for some quick and relaxed portraits of the bride and groom.

Jill and Ricardo got married on the deck at Tom Ham's and had their recetion right inside with a view of downtown San Diego. On every table they had a delicious cake as their centerpiece!

They had a traditional Jewish ceremony under the Chuppah.

The vineyard at Orfila is the perfect place for an outdoor wedding. It is also a dream to photograph! The surroundings at Orfila are lush and green and very peaceful. This vineyard is a sweet little oasis ideal for a Southern California Wedding. With a gorgeous couple like Lauren and Daniel it is an amazing place for a wedding photographer to photograph.

Kim and Mike's wedding is one that I will remember for quite some time. The day was gorgeous! The Manchester Grand Hyatt has spectacular rooms, so the "getting ready" photos were a blast for me. Kim had such a pretty wedding dress and it was hanging right by the window for me to photograph.

Tracey Beal from Too A T Events was the coordinator. She rocked! Kim loved Tracy and all the hard work her team put towards making the day perfect.

Sara and Thomas got married on the lawn at Estancia right before sunset. Nancy Stevens had red roses everywhere! It was really beautiful. Sara's family flew out from Italy just to be at her wedding and everyone had a great time. Mick from Elite British DJ had all the guests out on the dancefloor all night! Melissa Barrad from I Do... Weddings kept the day well organized and on time. It is so nice for me to work with other great vendors. It really keeps my job as a wedding photographer relaxed so I can focus on getting great pictures for the bride and groom.

Japanese Friendship Garden

Molly and Ben had a very intimate morning wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. They hired me just a couple of hours for wedding photography but we manages to capture some great, natural shots. They wanted me to focus mostly on photojournalism and wedding candids, which I did, and they loved! Molly wrote me the nicest thank you note after the wedding telling me how much she and Ben loved their photos. That was really sweet of her! It makes my day to hear that my clients are so happy! She even sent me a Jamba Juice gift card at a tip! What a sweetie!!!

Paradise Point

Heather and Johnny got married at Sunrise at Paradise Point. Since it was August, it wasn't cold at all and all the guests enjoyed the coffee, breakfast buffet and Nancy Stevens' gorgeous floral displays! This was the first sunrise ceremony I had ever photographed in my 6 years of shooting weddings. I loved it! The light was great and Heather and Johnny had the whole place to themselves.
